How pip value is calculated

Pip value = pip size × units traded, in the pair's second (quote) currency. A pip is 0.0001 on most pairs and 0.01 on yen pairs.

Example: 1 lot of EUR/USD is 100,000 euros. 0.0001 × 100,000 = 10 US dollars per pip. In a euro account at a price of 1.1200, that's 10 ÷ 1.12 = about 8.93 euros.

If your account currency is neither currency in the pair (for example GBP/JPY in a US-dollar account), the pip value is converted at the current rate between the quote currency and your account currency.

Spreads, commission and overnight financing aren't included. Pip value changes as prices move, so recheck it before each trade.
