Privacy notice

The short version

No advertising pixels or ad cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used; in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland it only runs if you accept.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and collects aggregate visit stats (such as page views, country and referring site); it doesn't use cookies or identify you.
Searches run in your browser. What you type into the search box isn't sent to us.
We don't sell or share personal data. If you join the newsletter, your email address is stored with our email provider, EmailOctopus.

Country detection

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. For each request, Cloudflare tells our server the country your connection comes from. We use it only to decide whether the AvaTrade partner box may be shown in your country. We don't store it or link it to you.

Server logs

Like any website host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) tells us which pages are visited and how people find and use the site: pages viewed, the referring site, approximate location (country and city, derived from your IP address, which GA4 doesn't store), device and browser type, and time on page. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*, which last up to 2 years) with a random ID. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are off, and no ad cookies are set.

Consent. If you're in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, Google Analytics stays off (no analytics cookies) until you click Accept on the cookie banner. Elsewhere it's on by default, and you can still turn it off. You can change your choice at any time with the link in the footer; your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage), not on our server.

Opting out. Click Reject in Cookie settings, clear this site's cookies and storage, block cookies in your browser, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services and Google's privacy policy.

If you sign up for The Broker Check, we store your email address with our email provider, EmailOctopus (Three Hearts Digital Ltd, UK), which processes it on our behalf to send the newsletter. We use it only to send the newsletter you asked for, and we don't sell or share it. Sign-ups are single opt-in: you're added when you submit the form. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Partner links

If you follow a link to AvaTrade, AvaTrade's own privacy policy and cookies apply on its site. The link carries our partner ID so AvaTrade can credit us; it doesn't carry anything about you from this site.

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at info@protraderreviews.com. If you're in the EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
