How we verify brokers and warnings
Our job is narrow: show you what official regulators have published, link you to the original, and tell you when we last checked it.
Our sources
We only use official sources published by financial regulators or governments. Every fact on this site carries a link to that source and a "last verified" date.
| Source | What we use | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), France | Blacklists of entities and websites not authorised to offer financial products or services in France, via data.gouv.fr (Licence Ouverte v2.0). Categories: Forex, Binary options, Crypto-asset derivatives. | Live. Last verified 22 Oct 2026. |
| Other regulators' warning lists | We're reviewing the reuse terms of other regulators' published warning lists before adding them. | Planned. Added only once reuse is permitted. |
| Regulators' public registers | Licence numbers and legal entity names, linked to the register entry. | Used on broker pages as they are added. |
Update schedule
- Warning lists: we re-import the AMF file regularly and aim to do it daily. The date on each page is the date of our last successful import, and we also show the date the AMF last updated its file.
- Broker facts (entities, licence numbers): re-checked against the regulator's register at least every 90 days, and whenever we hear of a change.
- If an import fails or looks wrong (for example far fewer rows than usual), we keep the previous version rather than publish a broken list.
How we present warnings
- Names and website addresses are shown exactly as the regulator published them. We don't link to listed websites.
- We describe an entry only as what it is, for example "listed on the AMF blacklist", with the listing date and category. We don't add opinions about any listed entity.
- A listing means a regulator published a warning about that name or website in its own country. Its absence from our lists proves nothing.
What we do and don't do
We do
- Publish regulator facts with source links and dates.
- Explain how to check a licence on a regulator's register.
- Disclose every commercial relationship (how we make money).
We don't
- Give investment advice or personal recommendations.
- Publish trading signals, tips or market calls.
- Make claims about profits or returns.
- Accept payment to add, hide or remove a warning.
Corrections policy
If you think something on this site is wrong, email info@protraderreviews.com with the page address and the official source that shows the correct information.
- We aim to reply within 5 working days.
- Errors we made (for example a wrong translation, licence number or link) are fixed and the page's "last verified" date is updated.
- We can't change regulator data. If you're listed by a regulator and believe it's wrong, contact that regulator. When it updates its list, our next import reflects the change.
